FederalGovernment.png

Overview

Building a Federal Government is a website that allows users to access a public database of government employees. The two main user groups were academic researchers and users who are interested in genealogy.  The goal of the website was to emphasize that there are stories behind each of these employees. This site is currently in development.

The Challenge

The challenge with designing this website primarily came with the organization and management of an extremely large dataset. One of the key features of the website would require an interface that was able to handle thousands of pieces of information and display them in various forms. Another challenge was that some of this data was incomplete, making it very important to include indicators if data was missing.
