Pockets

I designed, printed, and bound this book using content from "Pockets: Articles of interest #3" from the 99% Invisible podcast.
The podcast discusses the size differences between men's and women's pockets, the history behind it, and the current societal implications. I wanted to explore this discrepancy while using the concept of pockets as a means of concealing objects. Using a laser cutter and Japanese folds on certain pages, I created windows that include extra content within the folds.

This book was printed on Neenah Classic Crest Avalanche White paper. Images sourced from Unsplash and Adobe Stock. Typefaces used: Gabriela
Stencil, Milo Pro.
